Our Neighbourhood gets a 5 star food rating

We have been working really hard in preparation for a visit from the Food Safety inspector to our Food and Support project we run every Friday.

Having paid for a pre-visit on site by the inspector we knew the areas that would let us down. So, Leaf Hall trustees changed the lighting in the store cupboard, and we varnished all the shelving so they could be disinfected. We changed the way we prepared our rice and chilled it after cooking. We also added labels for each container saying to keep it in the fridge.

I now keep a diary of all our activities, cleaning, and four week checks, as well as the fridge and freezer temperature checks I have always done.

Last Friday our inspection took place. The team were totally delighted that we were given a 5!  Well done everybody!
